Jervis Bay is only about 2 ½ hour drive South of Sydney and is one of my favorite places to go fishing and take the family.   The bay’s coast has numerous little beaches with Hymes beach having claim to having the whitest sand in the world.
There are a couple of pods of dolphins which live in the bay and regularly come and say hello while you kayak.  During the June to November you can see the Humpback whales which often visit the Bays entrance and can be seen breaching, tail flapping or just lazing around.   There’s a large variety of fish in these water’s ranging from whiting to Black Marlin.
Jervis bay is a marine park and there are parts where you can not fish so check before you go out fishing.  The area in pink on the map is strickly no fishing.  Check the marine parks authority website for any updates.
