KAYAK GAME FISHING

I finally kept a bait away from sharks long enough to capture this beaut Black Marlin 8-9km’s NE of currarong in January 2012.   Had it on for 1 ½ hours and captured footage of it jumping out of the water on 23 occasions.  It ended up pulling me about 7kms out so I ended up about 14-15kms out to sea.

A Some of these larger bronzies and bull sharks can take me up to 2 to 2 ½ hours to get in before I release them. They’r tough components and go deep and circle in the current using their large pectral fins to stay down deep.

Two Humpbacks came up to me last year and hung around for over 20 minutes just checking me out.  I’ll take these memories to my grave.

Large Bronze Whaler’s and Bull sharks are very tough and worthy components from a kayak.
